ABOUT THESE NOTECARDS:
This handsome boxed set of notecards features art based on the wild and edible seaweeds of Ireland. The set contains six stunning designs, two of each. Rich colours and bold graphic shapes give a modern edge to a classic subject with timeless naturalist appeal. The box top is textured to evoke the printmaking paper of the original art.
Superfolk are designers and makers. Their design studio is led by the husband and wife team of Gearoid Muldowney, a craft designer and Jo Anne Butler, an artist and architect. They tell the story of the ever-changing colour, patterns and texture of the wildlife, wild food, landscape, geology and seasons surrounding us in Clew Bay, on the west coast of Ireland.
Home matters. We all need a place to be ourselves, to be open, creative, free and at ease. Home is a place for belonging, not perfection.
When something is enjoyable to make, this care, love and playfulness shines through in the end result. The materials we surround ourselves with matter.
Positive social and environmental change will be led by a passion that spreads, and propelled by facts and actions of integrity.
“It has been such a joy to work with Princeton Architectural Press to produce this set of Notecards. PAP have taken our original Superfolk block printed artworks and text created something elegant, beautiful and modern.”
